About our Scholarships for Travel team participants

With an eye on our mission to encourage the love of the game of soccer, we offer financial assistance, so that, youth whom are interested, may participate. Financial assistance is offered to those deemed in need due to financial hardship.

Who is eligible for financial assistance?
Those whom are found to be experiencing financial hardship, whether it be temporary or long term, and that hardship may prevent them from participating. Coaches whom are receiving a volunteer discount for player are not eligible for an additional discount for the same player. However, may be eligible for other siblings for which team he is not receiving a volunteer discount for. Participants in both travel league and recreational programs are eligible.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
At the time you are invited to join a travel team and you are aware that you will not be able to afford to participate you need to complete an online financial assistance request for each participant that will be participating. Scholarships are reviewed for one seasonal year, fall and spring.  Each year you are in need of a scholarship you will need to complete the application.
Follow the link and complete the request scholarship application online we ask that all requests for fall teams be completed by June 15th and all requests for Spring teams be completed by December 30th.

Does the financial assistance cover team fees?
No, it does not. The financial assistance is for club registration fees. There are other costs involved at a team level and they vary from team to team. Please discuss these fees with the team manager and team coach, so that you are informed and can budget for them. Examples of other costs are, uniforms, training, and tournaments.

What is the club expectation upon granting a scholarship?
We are committing to you and we ask you to commit to us through volunteering.
Volunteer hours during the season may be requested upon receipt of financial assistance.

Up to 20 hours of your time may be requested, multiple tasks maybe required to meet the time commitment. If there is something on the list below that sparks an interest let us know.

What is the amount of the assistance I can apply for?

Option 1, for applicants participating in fall/spring league teams
50% discount off the club registration fee
For example: Registration fee is $500
There is a $100 commitment fee due upon acceptance of a position on a team and it is non-refundable, unless a team is not formed.
(You will need to choose the three- payment plan at the time you accept a position on a team)
The discount amount will be divided in half and 50% applied for payment 2 and the other half at payment 3.
Scholarship amount is $250, Half of $250 is $125
Payment 1   $100 commitment fee due upon accepting a position on a team
Payment 2   $150 - $125 = $25 due Aug 1
Payment 3   $250 - $125 = $125 due Feb 1

Option 1, for applicants participating in spring only high school age 15U and up league teams
50% discount off the club registration fee.
Club registration fee maybe is $350
For example: Total charge  at 50% off is $175
Scholarship amount is $175
Payment 1: $100 commitment fee due upon accepting a position on a team and it is non-refundable, unless a team is not formed.
Payment 2: $75

Option 2, for applicants participating in fall/spring league teams
Full assistance after the $100 commitment fee and is non-refundable, unless a team is not formed.
For example: MLU registration fee may be $500 for teams playing fall and spring league play.
Scholarship amount would be $400,
For a total fee of $100
Payment 1:  $100 commitment fee
Payment 2:  $0

Option 2, for applicants participating in spring only high school age league teams
Full assistance after $100 commitment fee and is non-refundable, unless a team is not formed.
For example: Total MLU registration fee maybe $350 for 15U and up spring only teams.
Scholarship amount would be $250
Total registration fee $100
Payment 1: $100 commitment fee and it is non-refundable, unless a team is not formed.
Payment 2:  $0
