Mt. Laurel United Soccer Association Travel Soccer Program is open to all area youth players.
Boys and Girls are placed on teams according to age group and abilities displayed during tryouts.
We commonly offer team play on several levels within an age group, in order to allow, all who want to participate to join.
We enjoy teams at many levels of play, including State Champions and National contenders .
Our travel team tryouts are held in April and / or May, for teams forming for the following fall season. We also offer tryouts during the winter to fill a limited number of openings that may exist on a few teams.
Travel players generally commit to a team for a seasonal year, fall and spring season for those not in high school.
For high school players we offer fall and spring or spring only, depending team.
Our boys and girls teams play in South Jersey Soccer League ,South Jersey Girls Soccer League and EDP.
Travel team games are generally within an hour travel time. Ages 7 through 9 enjoy 7 versus 7 on a field (7v7) play, and ages 10, 11 play 9v9 , 12 and up enjoy 11v11 play.
Our teams are coached by parent volunteers and our professional staff trainers. All coaches are required to be licensed through New Jersey Youth Soccer or USClub Soccer and background checks are performed by those entities.
Professional training is offered to each team, through our training program at no charge. A growing number of our teams have professional training staff as the head coach of the team.
The fall season games begin around the second weekend of September, and generally there are 10 games, one per weekend, ending in November. The boys teams generally play on Sunday and the Girls on Saturdays.
During the winter months, when outdoor play is not possible due field and weather conditions, many teams particpate in indoor league soccer or winter team practices.
The Spring season begins in March and concludes in early June. The spring season is 10 weeks .
Tournament play, which can be local, or out of state, is also part of the travel soccer experience for many teams.
The U15 and above age group teams generally play winter and spring soccer and do not play fall soccer due to high school soccer team play.
Many teams choose to enter state cup competition and compete against other teams in NJ for the state cup in their age group. There are several state cup offerings through New Jersey Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer.
The winners of state cup competition generally advance to regional play. The u11 through u14 teams play state cup in the fall and u15 and up teams play in the spring.
There are several premier leagues and tournaments for upper level competition that some of our more competitive teams participate in. Those being EDP, NJYS State Cup, USClub Soccer Tournaments and Cups.
